Yoga Exercises for Facial Toning
Your face is important not only in giving a good first impression but also boosting your confidence and self-esteem. Living a healthy lifestyle fully nourished and revitalized is crucial, and these facial yoga exercises can really help you to do that.
Maintaining a healthy face is vital in boosting your self-esteem and creating positive first impressions. Time, however, works against us and if we're not careful, our face will start to sag and wrinkle. Facial yoga is a great way to fight this and maintain firmer, younger looking skin.
Frown lines are very common signs of aging, but they're easy enough to fix if you know how. All you need is the pout pose. To do this, put your index fingers on the corners of your mouth and pull them down. Next form a pout with your lips, and hold that position for 5 seconds. Release and repeat this 10 times for the best effect.
The upper-eyelid stretch is a good way to remove eyelid wrinkles. Simply place your index fingers under your eyebrows, close your eyes, and stretch your upper eyelids down. Hold this for 10 seconds, then repeat 5 times. For crow's feet (also known as laughing lines), place your fingers on your forehead and squeeze your eyes shut. Then, with your thumbs, pull the corners of your eyes out toward your temples. Repeat 10 times.
The gulping fish exercise is good for removing lines on the neck and strengthening the skin. The exercise is mostly done after weight loss brought about by an ailment or along with the use of a weight loss supplement. To do this, place your hand by the base of your throat, stretching all the way across your collarbone. Then extend your neck up by lifting your chin, stretching your bottom jaw as far up as you can. Reach your bottom lip to the ceiling and, without actually swallowing, emulate the gulping motion of a fish. While in that position, gulp for ten times, then switch your hands and repeat the same.
